The joints between the individual mosaic pieces are clearly visible on the Ankabut garden table. This is entirely intentional, as the craftsmen had the artistically woven web of a spider (Ankabut) in mind when designing it. Alternatively, the design is reminiscent of fireworks unfolding magnificently in the sky. The diamond-shaped border is typical of Oriental mosaic art: this religious symbol is believed to have a protective function.
The color green can be found in three very different shades on this mosaic table: emerald green, light green, and turquoise.
