A mandala (Sanskrit: मण्डल, "circle" or "center") is a symbolic diagram, often designed in geometric patterns, that plays a central role in Hinduism, Buddhism, and other spiritual traditions.

These artistic patterns unfold in a circular, symmetrical structure from the center outwards.
