We have the Moroccan iron chair Dalya manufactured in a traditional smithy in Marrakesh. It is forged from natural iron, and its patina color has been preserved with clear varnish.
The construction is solid, making it quite heavy. The frame has been additionally secured at the weld seams. The relatively large seat, which heavier and taller people will appreciate, adds to the chair's stable appearance.
For the circular ornament on the backrest, the blacksmith formed four iron rods into spirals at the ends and then fitted them into place. Dalya is the ideal chair for sitting at a mosaic dining table for long periods of time. The wrappings on the backrest and chair legs emphasize its rustic character. With the exception of a romantic setting, this iron chair fits in stylistically almost anywhere—even in a modern loft.
