The joints between the individual mosaic pieces are clearly visibleonthe green and white glazed bistro table. This is entirely intentional, as the craftsmen had the constellation in mind when designing it. Alternatively, the design is reminiscent of fireworks unfolding magnificently in the sky. The diamond-shaped borderis typical of Oriental mosaic art: this religious symbol is believed to have a protective function.
Considering the color symbolism of Islam, thismosaic tablecouldbe modeled on a mosque floor:greenis the color of religion, whitethat of purity.
