The joints between the individual mosaic pieces are clearly visible on the Ankabut Brown bistro table. This is entirely intentional, as the craftsmen had the artistically woven web of a spider (Ankabut) in mind when designing it. Alternatively, the design is reminiscent of fireworks unfolding magnificently in the sky. The diamond-shaped border is typical of Oriental mosaic art: this religious symbol is said to have a protective function.
The color blue can be found in two very different shades on this mosaic table: light blue and dark blue. It brings out the brilliance of the ochre-colored Zellige tiles even better.
