When you look closely at our Moroccan ceramic bowl, the craftsmanship is unmistakable: the brushstrokes are so clear that you would think they were still wet. But the ornament is firmly baked into the glaze—and, of course, can no longer be wiped off. Hand-painted ceramics have a long tradition in Morocco. As it has been for centuries, the clay is shaped on potter's wheels into bowls, dishes, and the most beautiful decorative objects. The painting by skilled hands transforms each piece into a unique work of art.
Original Moroccan ceramics from Safi are recognizable by their iridescent colors. On this ceramic bowl, the typical leaf motif is surrounded by dots. Ideal as a bowl for apples, tomatoes, or bread, or for storing lemons, oranges, and nuts. However, please do not use it to serve hot food, as this could damage the paintwork.
