The daily setting of different mosaics naturally stimulates the imagination. Moroccan maalems (master craftsmen) enjoy developing new ornaments. Modern mosaics even have a very special appeal: they combine today's Oriental culture with traditions that have existed for centuries. As in the past, zellije tiles are cut into the appropriate mosaic pieces with a hammer blade, and as in the past, the craftsman sets the motif and fills it with filler material.
This green and blue mosaic table is reminiscent of a vacation by the sea. The pattern is inspired by the gentle waves in which the sunlight glitters. You almost expect a fish to swim by at any moment. Hence our tip: placing a few sea decorations such as shells or starfish on this bistro table creates an enchanting effect. The slight differences in the shade of the turquoise-green triskeles further emphasize the oceanic look. They are a typical feature of Zellige tiles and testify to their authenticity.
