This mosaic bistro table is full of symbols: an inverted diamond symbolizes the eye and is intended to protect people from the "evil eye." The eight-pointed star represents the seal of the Prophet and is thus one of the most important motifs in Islam. The craftsmanship is also noteworthy: the mosaic stones carved from Zellige tiles are laid close together with virtually no gaps. This means that the surface is completely glazed.
