The Moroccan Menara iron chair is anything but ordinary. The backrest has been pulled down so far that the outer frame supports the seat.
The chair legs repeat the semicircle in an inverted form. Braces ensure stability, while round details in the leg area add decorative flair. The backrest also echoes the playful curls.
The chair has a very modern look. Connoisseurs of European furniture will inevitably be reminded of the designs of the Bauhaus school in Weimar and Dessau. However, Menara was created almost 3,000 kilometers further southeast: in a traditional art forge in Marrakesh, Morocco.
