A diamond-shaped border is typical of a Moroccan mosaic table. In addition to its decorative function, it also has a symbolic meaning: as stylized eyes (witch's eyes), square diamonds are said to protect people from all kinds of misfortune. Mosaic artists place a wide variety of patterns and ornaments within this frame. However, one thing always remains the same: the glazed mosaic pieces are first cut from the handcrafted zellige tiles using a sharp-edged hammer. Each tabletop is purely handmade and therefore absolutely unique.
Blue symbolizes freshness and coolness, has a calming effect, and inspires longing. In this mosaic dining table, cobalt blue zellige diamonds accentuate the natural-colored tiles made of unglazed clay. Since blue is the most commonly used color for Moroccan mosaic furniture, the blue mosaic table can be combined with other garden furniture and fountains to suit your mood.
